(White Wine Vinegar)

The name vinegar is rooted from the French vin (wine) and aigre (sour).  This leads us to assume that the first vinegars were probably based on wine.

Vinegar is a sour liquid made by fermenting naturally produced acetic acid with materials such as wine, cider, barley or oats, apples, sugar or rice.

Fermenting white wine produces white wine vinegar. White wine vinegar is less acidic than cider and white vinegars.

Vinegars formed an important part of ancient hair rinses and skin treatments. We've used various types of vinegars across a range of our products.

Using various vinegars for cosmetic purposes goes back centuries - vinegars are highly acidic and also help preserve natural cosmetics.

The acidic nature of vinegar smoothes down the cuticles on the hair shaft allowing light to be reflected evenly creating shine.

White wine vinegar has 5% acidity; we use this to regulate the pH in our Ibiza Party shampoo and to give the hair an intense shine.
